All proceeds from "Mélange" will go to a Maine based organization, Konbit Santé, in their Health Partnership with Cap-Haitien, Haiti. Our goal is to help those in Haiti who are still affected by the 2010 Earthquake.

The Artists

Headlining Artist : Remy de Laroque.  Remy is a singer/songwriter who comes to us originally from Paris, France and more recently from NYC. He has made a name for himself in the music scene, performing in clubs in and around NYC and beyond. In a style that's reminiscent of Nick Drake, John Mayer, or Iron and Wine, Remy pours his soul into every piece he creates. Give a listen to "Twilight", from his just completed 4th CD entitled "Art of Change".  Visit Remy's web site at http://remydelaroque.com

A  native of Cap-Haitien, Haiti, Gifrants has released numerous projects on his label Gaëta Records. Writing, producing and acting as his own publicist, he is often accompanied by various Boston based jazz musicians who perform his songs in both live and studio settings. The music of Gifrants could probably best be described as traditional pan-Caribbean music fused with jazz. To listen to samples of his music,
visit Gifrants' web site at http://gifrants.com/.

His songs are steeped in melody and lush hooks with lyrics that tell tales of life and love with a Dylan-esque insight and a Springsteen sincerity. Each song is charmingly delivered through the engaging, untainted voice and mature musical renderings of this Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter.

Dan tours regularly, performing solo and with his Brooklyn Travelin' String Band.

The Phelps Family Band is a delightfully quirky, enthusiastic, and still-new enterprise, with Miranda (“Mom”) on fiddle, Roger (“Dad”) on keyboard, Raquel (the couple's goddaughter, from Guatemala), playing guitar, and their 11-year old son, Chay, on the stand-up bass. They have been playing most recently at Barrels in Waterville. They play traditional music from Cape Breton, Prince Edward Island, Scotland, Quebec and more. Whatever it is they are playing, it is guaranteed to have your toes tapping. Give a listen to The Phelps Family playing a tune called " Red Haired Boy and Old
Grey Cat
"
